REPRESENTATIONAL PAINTER

I’m a representational painter working in Northern Michigan, who started painting professionally in 2020.  My work consists of primarily oil paintings and drawings of the Midwest.  I have found beauty in the simple and seemingly ever evolving elements of this region, both in the landscape and people.  Much of my experience comes from plein air painting and working from life. My aim is to represent reality in the most concise and compelling way I can. The result is often a gesture frozen into one image.
